Technical
Issue Checklist |
Definition:
We have
defined a 'Technical Issue' to be a problem running Excel
properly or as you were previously.
STEP 1:
OPTIONS
One
thing that may be affecting the way you use Excel is that one
or more settings in the OPTIONS
section
of the TOOLS
menu may have been altered. Ensure that these settings are set
to your specifications.
STEP
2: EXCEL LIMITATIONS
Excel
has many limitations that users may not be aware of. Some are
fixed such as the 65,536 row limit while some are based on
memory availability such as the maximum number of sheets in a
workbook. To view limitations, enter 'Limitations' as a key
word in the index section in Microsoft Help.
STEP
3: UNKNOWN CONFLICTS
While
this site cannot determine why or how your program may be
crashing or not performing properly, in many cases a
re-install of the software can fix the problem. This may
'reset' Excel to its default operation parameters. You will
not lose any files by performing a re-install.
